Safe Haven
A woman named Katie moves to a town called South Port in North Carolina, that most people wouldn't think to live in since it is so small. She comes in unexpectedly and doesn't talk to many people she tries to keep her guard up and not talk to anyone but she starts to become close to a neighbor named Jo. As Katie makes a few trips down to a small store down the road over and over again, she begins to let her guard down and talk to the owner named Alex. He is a widowed man who has two children and has always lived in the town. Katie begins to fall in love with Alex the more she is with him and sees him. **spoiler alert** She goes to a carnival with Alex and his children and when she and Alex's youngest child go back to the house she goes outside. Her husband Kevin finds her and tries to burn the house she should've been in but only the child was. He attacks her and he tries to shoot her she protects herself and shoots him back and kills him. When Alex comes back to the house she tells him what was really going on. Kevin was her husband and they were in an abusive relationship, she had to run away since that was the only safe way to get away from him. Alex accepts this and gives her a letter from his wife that had passed away she told Katie that he must really love her if he gave her the letter at the bottom it was signed Jo. Katie finally realized that her neighbor really was Alex's dead wife looking out for her and making sure she was a good enough person to be around her children and was the right person that could protect them and be their mother figure since she couldn't be there.
